Hello, I’m Alex, the founder of Ace Athletik Club. Born and raised in Châteauguay  I noticed a lack of high-end athletic facilities compared to neighboring areas like Laval and the West Island. Determined to change that, I embarked on the journey to establish Ace Athletik Club. While playing hockey for the Arizona Coyotes, I pursued a business course to craft a solid business plan. Teaming up with my longtime trainer, Andrew Lavigne, we scouted various locations until stumbling upon our current spot on Industrial Blvd—an abandoned building at the time.

We named the gym in honor of Jonathan Truchon, a dear friend who lost his battle with cancer. “Les Aces” was Jo’s ball hockey team, reflecting his passion for the sport. From our humble beginnings in 2014, we’ve grown to a 6000-square-foot inclusive gym catering to everyone’s fitness goals.

I’m passionate about nurturing Châteauguay’s next generation of athletes and offer bootcamps focused on lower body and cardio, with a sprinkle of upper body workouts. Additionally, my journey in hockey includes notable achievements such as being drafted 7th overall in the LHJMQ draft, being drafted in the 4th round of the 2003 NHL draft, along with representing Team Canada in various tournaments, playing for NHL teams like the Vancouver Canucks and Arizona Coyotes, and competing internationally in leagues like the KHL and DEL. I retired in 2020 to focus more on the gym and my son Brixen finishing with over 700 professional games over 15 years and a wealth of knowledge learning from some of the best trainers in the sport.

Stacy LawtonManager

Stacy is a selfless mother of 4 boys that puts everything into her families happiness. While she juggles a full time job and her families needs (and all the sports) she has also graciously/casually dedicated her spare time to Ace gym . The only time she gives to herself are her daily workouts. Everyone in the gym loves her and appreciates all the time she gives into helping where she can . Ace wouldn’t be the same without her , she gives all the moms out there the confidence they need to workout comfortably.

Scott PaynePersonal Trainer

I’m Scott Payne, a proud father of two little girls and a passionate advocate for health and wellness. With over 9 years of experience as an in-person strength coach and the owner of two successful fitness facilities, I have dedicated myself to promoting a healthy, active, and sustainable lifestyle.

My journey towards prioritizing health and fitness began during my days as a football player, where I constantly sought ways to improve and gain a competitive edge. As my competitive sports career came to an end in my early 20s, I naturally transitioned into developing young athletes. However, I soon realized that performance enhancement is not limited to athletes; it extends to individuals of all ages and backgrounds. Whether it’s mastering everyday tasks like climbing stairs or simply putting on shoes, improving these movements can significantly impact one’s overall performance and quality of life.

This realization led me to specialize in rehabilitation through strength training, catering to a diverse clientele ranging from professional hockey players to grandparents looking to comfortably hold their grandchildren. Witnessing the positive impact of my work and the fulfillment it brought me solidified my decision to make a lifelong commitment to helping others achieve their performance and wellness goals.

Now, I am dedicated to sharing my knowledge and expertise to empower as many people as possible to become better versions of themselves.

David GermainPersonal Trainer

With close to a decade as a personal trainer , my goal is always to help and guide people on there path towards there goals .
As a certified strength and conditioning specialist I make sure that clients understand the principles behind every training session and feel safe doing each movement with proper technique!
 
My background in sports and certifications in a variety of sport performance , functional training and rehabilitation gives me the tools to give a structured progression to get to your goals safely and consistently!
Building healthy habits is key and that is a big part of my approach , as well as building strong foundations in your fitness journey !

John-Ross LozanoPersonal Trainer

My name is John-Ross, or JR in short. What started off as a hobby quickly became a passion of mine. I just wanted to take care of myself, both mentally and physically, and now, I could never go back to what I was doing before this journey. I enjoy coaching and helping people achieve their goals, to help people do things they didn’t believe they could do. I train and coach in functional fitness, and the work done in the gym translates to how we move outside those four walls. We want to train to be able to prepare ourselves for what life will throw at us.

I’m an avid health enthusiast and I compete in powerlifting competitions for fun!
I specialize in Biomechanics and basic Rehabilitation. No matter what your goals are, maybe it’s losing weight, gaining muscle or just staying overall fit, I’ll be there every step if the way with you.

Rebecca KinsellaPersonal Trainer

I grew up playing hockey and soccer and have always been passionate about living an active lifestyle. I’ve been training for about 7 years now and have been participating in teams and individual CrossFit competitions over last year.

I discovered the passion for exercise in my early 20s, after having been a lazy kid and teen who only dabbled in school sports to socialize. Having coached functional fitness for over 6 years, I thrive on helping others discover the confidence and power that comes from exercise progression. My goal is to make fitness and wellbeing accessible to all those who want to give 4% of their day back to themselves. The best way to prepare yourself for uncomfortable experiences in life is to get comfortable being uncomfortable. I hope to catch you all on the light side.
